Terms of use

Last updated: 6 October 2026 · Provider: Brightstep Tech Inc.

Cook County Tax Appeal is a service that shows public Cook County assessment records. By using it you accept these terms.

Public records, not advice

Results come from the Cook County Assessor's open data and simple calculations (value per square foot, medians). They are not legal, tax or appraisal advice. They do not promise a reduction or any tax saving. The Cook County Assessor's Office and Board of Review decide appeals; their records and calendars are authoritative. Check every deadline on the official site before you rely on it.

Coverage

Cook County, Illinois. Comps cover class 2 residential property (houses and apartment buildings up to 6 units). Condominium units, commercial property, exemptions and tax bills are not covered.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service for automated bulk requests or in a way that harms it or the county's portal. We may limit access in case of abuse.

No warranty and liability

The service is provided "as is", without warranty of availability, completeness or accuracy; county data can contain errors and can change. To the extent permitted by law we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of its results, for missed deadlines or for indirect losses.

Sources

Cook County Assessor's Office data via the Cook County Open Data portal; Board of Review dates from cookcountyboardofreview.com. The service is not affiliated with Cook County.
